Sail on the perfect sea.

“A ship is always safe at the shore – but that is NOT what it is built for.”   ~Albert Einstein

I was at a healing meditation yesterday evening. I have been unwell. I have been doing all the wrong things. I haven’t been following my intuition. I haven’t been taking great care of myself, not eating what I believe to be healthy. But, none of that matters. The real reason I haven’t gotten well is because I have not allowed the universe to heal me. I have been resisting wellness. As I was lying on my mat and blanket in the studio I asked myself why I wasn’t healing. And an answer jumped into my consciousness. My mother died at the same age I will reach this year. Do I deserve to live a longer and healthier life than she did? Let’s put it this way; I deserve to live a long and healthy life if that’s what makes me happy. It has nothing to do with my mother’s choices, it has nothing to do with her path. Does my subconscious believe that? Now it does. We don’t need to know why we have been resisting health or wealth or wisdom and my mother’s death may have nothing to do with my resistance. We just need to know we deserve to live our perfect life.

The ego thrives on fear. When we are afraid to fail, afraid to live, afraid to say yes, then the ego remains in control. When we have faith that the universe loves us and will bring us what we need, we live in joy.

We don’t have to do anything except allow the universe to bring us what we need, but we have to have faith to allow. Well-being, abundance, and joy do not come from fear. They come from faith. Health comes from faith.

So, now I am evolving. I am not making so many intentions, I am not visualizing so much as I did. I am asking the universe to bring me the perfect, inspiring job for me, the perfect, inspiring relationship for me, and the perfect, inspiring place for me. After all, I don’t know what is perfect for me, but right now it all feels perfect. And that feeling, that knowing that the universe is conspiring with me for joy, that knowing that I need only believe, the peace I feel in faith, is what will bring me my job, my relationship, my health, and my joyful life.

We are far too hard on ourselves. We expect that we have expend so much effort and continually strive to get anything we want. It is time to stop all the working, all the worrying, all the beliefs that we have to work hard and earn what we want. It’s all here for you. It is the Garden of Eden if you want it to be. We have to stop believing in the laws of this physical world. Let go of the paradigm of struggle and striving. Embrace the spiritual power that is yours. Know that you can have heaven on earth if you choose it. Then don’t try to make it happen! That’s right, stop trying to figure it out, don’t make plans that place fear and doubt in your heart, don’t take action if it frightens you. Have faith that the universe knows what heaven on earth is for you. The plans it sends you will be inspiring, not dreadful. The action it sends you will be exciting, not tedious. The work it expects from you will be joyful, not spirit-breaking.

images-9

If it doesn’t feel good, the universe didn’t send it. If it feels good, especially inspiring and uplifting, then you can be sure you got your marching orders from the universe. Just remember and be prepared, when you are living in the joyful moment and nearing a new plateau in your spiritual evolvement, the ego will fight back with a vengeance. It is afraid of death. Spirit fears nothing and knows there is no death. The ego will strike with renewed fear and doubt. When the ego strikes, remember all the times that you lived in faith and how good it felt and how the universe rewarded you for it, not just in physical rewards, but joy rewards.

images-8

Tell the ego to take a leap. Ain’t nobody got time for the ego. Allow the universe to heal you, to bring you abundance, and to bathe you in loving energy. Feel loved. You are.

Affirmations;

I allow the universe to bring me an amazing life.

I open my arms to receive gifts from the universe.

All that I want is brought to me.

My powerful energy sparks the creation of my perfect life.

Lie quietly and allow the universe to fill you with love and healing energy. Move your arms or body as it feels right to you. Enjoy the peace freely brought to you.

That was fun. Let’s do it again!

“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” ~Albert Einstein

What are you doing that makes you happy?  Look at the past month and ask yourself what you were doing when you were  happiest, when you felt the most alive.  Just think about it for a few seconds.  Was it when you were eating some sweet ice-cold watermelon while you watched the kids splash around?  Was it when you were laughing with a friend over something only the two of you would find hilarious?    Was it when you were sitting by yourself reading a book that was so good you didn’t it want to end?  Was it when you were walking in the woods with your dog?  Was it when you were holding your baby?  Was it when you were painting or writing or running or swimming or sitting looking out at the magnificent wonder of nature?  Whatever is was, do it again.  And, again.

images

Doing what we love and feeling the wonderful emotions of joy and appreciation will cause a spectacular domino of fun and happiness to fill our life.   A waterfall of joy pours over you.  A wave of fun carries you.  A road of abundance is laid before you.  In feeling happy, contented, and completely fulfilled we invite more happiness, contentment and fulfillment into our perfect life.

images-7

We are rewarded for accepting rewards.  We get what we deserve.  We get a life that is perfect for us.  Do what you love.  Wash, rinse, repeat.  Often.  And when, in your perfect life, you notice something that is making you feel good, remember it, do it again.  When in your life you find yourself not so happy, remember that time and smile and the feelings will start, more happy memories will surface for you to enjoy, and the universe will respond.  We can always turn our frown upside down with just a few thoughts and memories.  Use you bongo for good thoughts and feelings.  Love yourself.

Some happy affirmations:

  • I open my heart to gifts from God.
  • I deserve a life of abundance.
  • I monitor my thoughts and beliefs and I only choose good ones.
  • My life is filled with pleasant surprises.
  • I have a lot of fun.
  • I laugh a lot.
  • I have good friends.
  • I’m a very lucky person.

Close your eyes and think of something really fun from your childhood.   Imagine you are a child now, what would you do?  Fun thoughts, huh!

Don’t Do What You Hate!!!

“The only real valuable thing is intuition.” – Albert Einstein

I’ve decided that I’m going to use my intuition to write this post. I have no idea what I’m going to write about, but I’m going to have faith that Albert was right about intuition and that the perfect topic will come to me as I keep writing. I’m hoping for that wonderful feeling of Satori to kick in. Satori is a Japanese word and it describes what happens when you are taken over by a creative project and time is seemingly irrelevant. You are acting out of time and out of ego, simply channeling the creative force of who you truly are, the Divine Creator!

images-16
So, today I keep thinking of the Gospel of Thomas. You remember Doubting Thomas, one of Jesus’ disciples. He’s the one who asked for proof that Jesus came back, that’s another story which I kinda doubt happened, the way it’s presented anyway Thomas admitted that he really didn’t have much of a clue as to what Jesus was trying to say with his parables and metaphors so he decided rather than trying to interpret Jesus’ words or tell Jesus’ story he would simply write what Jesus said and let people make up their own minds.

images-16
Of course, we don’t get the opportunity to read Thomas since he wasn’t included in the New Testament. Why the Nicene Council of the Holy Roman Church decided to edit the gospels is anyone’s guess? Mine is that they chose the gospels which worked best for their agenda to control the Roman Empire, but I digress, the perk of following intuition!
So Thomas, in his humble innocence, simply dictated Jesus’ words. You can find them all online, but the one that really hit  me, WACK, right in the face was what Jesus said when asked what people should do.  Jesus said, “…don’t do what you hate…”
Wow, if there are any words to live by, strangely written in the negative, but for a good reason, it is those five words.

images-16
DON’T DO WHAT YOU HATE!!!!!!  This seems simple enough, but how many people kill their spirit by doing what they hate, for their whole lifetime?  They do it out of responsiblity often enough.  They have children to raise and send to school, children whom they don’t see enough because they work too much, bills to pay, plastic toys to buy which they don’t get to use because they work too much, huge mortgages to pay on houses they spend little time in because they work too much, big cars to pay for to drive to and from those jobs.  These words come to mind.  Futile. Striving. Endlessness. Broken. Exhaustion. Depression. Isolation.
Is this any way to live? DON’T DO WHAT YOU HATE!
Ah, but I have to pay for all this stuff.  Let me tell you something, Sir!  I lost my job about 8 months ago, hence the blog, and I was making half the money I made working.  I stopped buying what I call plastic toys, which is all the unnecessary crap we buy, and I managed to make my mortgage, make my car payments, pay off my credit cards, eat healthy organic food, and did this for six months.

images-16
Here’s the kicker.  I can’t go back to my old job.  It was killing my spirit.  So I am going to have faith that the universe will provide my perfect life for me. (Don’t be surprised if I add a donate button on the side, someone has to subsidize these posts!)  I am not going to live in fear.  Do I want to teach my children that they must do a job they hate for the rest of their lives so that they can buy all the conveniences they wouldn’t need if they had more time, or if they did what they loved and had less money, but lived simply?  Sometimes intuition leads to jumbled sentences, but you get the drift.
You are the teacher of the next generation. Do you believe that the universe is friendly?  Do you believe the universe conspires to make your dreams come true?  Prove it!  DON’T DO WHAT YOU HATE.  IT WILL KILL YOUR SPIRIT!

images-16

This experiment in intuition seemed to work, the time passed in an instant, and some sense was even made (I hope).  Now it’s your turn to follow your intuition and do what you love. Follow your dreams in faith. Know that you deserve to be happy. You are a perfectly made you with your own special desires and talents.  Follow your purpose.  Follow your DNA!  It was made with you in mind!  Yes, perfectly you.  Don’t live a perfect life, live your perfect life.

Your perfect affirmations:

  • I deserve to live a life which fills my soul with joy and purpose.
  • I happily pursue my dreams with the faith that God wants me to be happy.
  • I have enough stuff.
  • I am enough.
  • My children are happier with my time than with my money.
  • I love my life.
  • I live my perfect life.

Close your eyes.  In your mind, take a walk in the woods and when you come to a clearing you will see yourself doing what you love to do.  Enjoy it.  Now make it happen

Why it’s so fabulous to be poor and depressed.

“Wisdom is not a product of schooling, but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.”  ~Albert Einstein

Yes, it is fabulous to be poor and depressed.  It’s great to be unemployed, unhealthy, undesirable, unloved, misunderstood,  or just plain lost.  If you were rich, beautiful, healthy, and comfortable, if you had everything that you desired then why would you want to change?  You wouldn’t.  Oh no, you’d think that all of this stuff was the cat’s pajama’s and you would feel no desire to rock the boat.  But, all of our boats need to be rocked.  We’re not here for the easy ride, we who have struggled.  We are here for the roller coaster, the ups and downs, the overs and unders, the roundabouts.  We don’t want a straight path to Easy Street.  Much too boring for us adventurous types.  We don’t want things handed to us on a silver platter, we weren’t born with a silver spoon.  If we had wanted that particular life, we would have ordered that particular life.  No, no, no.  That wouldn’t do for us.  We wanted to make some major changes in this lifetime.  We wanted to learn many, many hard lessons to spur us on to higher realms of spiritual insight.  We wanted SPIRITUAL GROWTH!  So we ordered the Twists of Terror ride, the Death and Destruction ride, the Please Make it Stop ride.  Yes, we are not too bright, but we make up for it in persistence, committment, and passion.  We want to know the truth.

images-5

The Truth will set us free!!!

Yes, the Truth.  But, if you want to hear what that is again, and maybe this time it will stick (I’m still waiting for that to happen), here it is.  The truth is that you are the one that has made your life and only your own beliefs can change it.  Only when you truly believe that you are one with the Creative Force of the universe and able to manifest everything by being who you are, until you believe that, then the crazy ride continues.

Unlike popular belief, and my previous misguided notions, you don’t have to visualize every aspect of your life to get it.  The Creative All, this Energy of Pure Love, knows what your perfect path to happiness is.  All you have to do is believe and work towards what you think you want.  Oh, and it must be something that doesn’t hurt anyone else, it must be approached with love, and it must be what you love to do.  Do not do what you hate!!!   Never, never, never!!!  This is so very important.  If you are doing what you hate you are out of sync with the Pure Energy of Love!

Unknown-4

Yay for happiness!

If you feel irritated, angry, frustrated, or uneasy in any way when you are doing something then it’s not what you should be doing.  But, you can fill mundane occupations with love.  Like cooking supper.  I may not feel really excited about it, but I can change my thinking and infuse it with love.  I can use chopping vegetables as a meditative exercise.  I can think of the love I have for my family as I drop the veggies in the pot of soup.  I can appreciate what I have as I clean the house.  (okay, I’ve gone too far), but you know what I mean.  There are things that need to be done.  Do them with love, do them in a mindful way.  Know that you are heading in the right direction.

All in all,be thankful that we are such screwed up flawed individuals on our way to perfection!  Isn’t it fabulous to be poor and depressed?  It’s a study in the perfect motivation to grow spiritually.  Change is good.

Some perfect affirmations:

  • All of my “problems” lead me to greatness.
  • My life is the result of my beliefs.
  • I believe that the Perfect Life Force of the universe directs me to happiness.
  • I do everything with love.
  • I have complete faith that the universe is my friend and conspiring with me to perfect my life of health and  happiness.

Close your eyes and know that God loves you unconditionally and all you have to do is ask.  Then ask.

Signposts on the New Jersey Turnpike

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.  We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”  -Albert Einstein

Many years ago my boyfriend, his mother, and I were driving to visit their extended family in New Jersey.  We had made the trip a few times before, but I had never driven.  He was feeling tired and asked me to drive.  He told me the directions and I took over while he slept.  After a while we came to some beautiful country side, rolling farmland and lovely vistas.  Then I was driving through a state forest.  To my surprise there were deer visible from the road.  Some deer were even resting on the ground, calmly looking out at the cars going by.  It was really beautiful.  I started to realize though, that none of this seemed familiar.  I woke my boyfriend up and found that we were very much off course.

images-5

He was very angry.  I had followed his directions, but he had failed to tell me about an exit I should have taken.  He called me stupid for not knowing that I should have taken the exit.  It was not a pretty scene.  We finally got back to the exit and continued on to New Jersey and his family.  The drive turned into the New Jersey Interstate.  New Jersey is a beautiful state, even called the Garden State, but the main turnpike is a wasteland of chemical plants, electric companies, highway rest stops, and factories.  It is rather ugly and depressing.

Needless to say my boyfriend and I didn’t have the best relationship.  It was not encouraging, supportive, or loving.  This drive was symbolic of our life together.  If I continued on his path then my life would not be beautiful.  It would not be peaceful.  It would not be a picture of calm and harmony.  The interstate, representing my path if I continued going his way, was a scourge on the landscapre, a depressing picture of industrial waste.  My path, the “lost” path,” was a beautiful and serence journey.  I had discovered another way, a more beautiful and peaceful way, while he slept.

Our life often brings us messages like this.  If we are open to our intuition and what it is trying to tell us then we can use instances like this to help us steer ourselves in the right direction.  Just like dreams, our waking lives send us portents and symbols to lead us to the best path for us.  Interpret your life just as you might interpret a dream.  Especially if you have strange occurrences or feelings about a situation.

If I had continued on the road of life with him, my life would have been less than it is now.  It may have been a life of ugliness and function.  When I took my own path it became a life of beauty and peace.  My life is so much better now that I am on my own path.

images

When we are on a path with a partner it can be a beautiful thing filled with love and fun.  But, we must be sure that this path is one which is nourishing to us.  It must be a path that fills our soul with a feeling of joy.  Using our intuiton and recognizing the symbolism that we bring into our lives is an important part of living in right action.  Had I dismissed this incident as simply another one of life’s pitfalls instead of looking more deeply into it I may have continued on that road for even longer than I did.  That would have slowed down my growth and with it my happiness.

If something unusual happens in your life, try looking at it as a sign.  See how the symbolism of it fits into your life and use it to grow.  We are given many opportunites to “read” our lives and make change where it is needed.  Take advantage of these signposts.  Read them and learn from them.  Be open to signs and symbols in your life.  When we can learn from easy lessons lke this it is not as painful as forcing change.  It helps us to make decisions.

Unknown-1

If you ever feel that you must make a change and you are not sure what to do, do nothing, but look for the answers within your life.  You will manifest answers using signs and symbols.  Don’t worry, signs and symbols will keep appearing to you if you miss them.  Be especially aware of repeated patterns.

If you feel anxious and connot wait for these signs then try the exercise in A Cottage in the Woods.  This is a good way to connect with the Collective Consciousness.

Seeing and using the circumstances of your life as signs to help in your decision making is a very helpful tool.  Being mindful of these symbols helps us to recognize them and use them.  Take your road.  Be the director of your own life.  You know, deep inside, what is best for you and when you can use these signposts (that you have manifested) you can more easily live your desired life.  I may have been lost for a while, but I was directed to my best life and my highest self.

Some directed affirmation:

  • I clearly see the messages I send myself in the form of life events.
  • I am the driver of my destiny.
  • I use the signs and symbols in my life to help me make good decisions.
  • I am aware of my emotions and use them as a tool to grow.
  • I am living my perfect life.

Do the Cottage in the Woods exercise again.  It’s worth a re-visit.  Take a relaxing walk in the woods.

Don’t eat the Apple!!!

-“No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus.  His personality pulsates in every word.  No myth is filled with such life.”  ~Albert Einstein

Okay, let’s talk about Jesus again.  If you’ve been reading my posts you know I’m talking about Jesus as the man who transcended the illusion of a physical world in his lifetime.  I’m talking about the man who knew that the story of Adam and Eve eating the apple from the Tree of Knowledge was sorely misinterpreted.  He knew the real meaning of the story is that the apple represents knowledge received in the physical world.  The knowledge given by the “apple,” in this case, is that the physical world is reality.  That’s all the apple represented, belief in a physical reality, a belief in the data of the physical world.  Adam and Eve were banished from heaven, heaven being the truth that physical reality is an illusion and that we are actually spiritual beings.  And, so, they were banished from the state of grace, from knowing who they truly were.  Their banishment was self-imposed.  Once they believed that the physical world was the only reality, they forgot that they were unlimited divine beings.  Knowledge, in this sense, is a human understanding of life.  Adam and Eve gave up their divinity by believing in the physical as real.  Of course God didn’t kick them out.  They simply erroneously believed.  Heaven is knowing that only love is real and all else is illusory.  We get knowledge from the physical world, laws such as the law of gravity and the laws of motion.  The only “truth” that many believe is what our five senses can tell us.  From the spiritual world we know all, we are omniscient, we are all-powerful and all creative.  We are the pure energy of love.  The spiritual world shows us that we are unlimited and all present.  We cannot get this knowing from the physical world.  All we can get from the physical world is facts and data.  That is why it is so important to spend time in spirit.  That is what Jesus was trying to tell us.

images-8

In spirit we begin to realize just how amazing and connected we are to All, and I mean All, the everything, everyone kind of All.  We begin to know of our divinity and we find out that we are boundless love.  Jesus knew that.  He realized that this physical reality is just a collective holograph, a theory that quantum physicists are just now putting forward.  Professor, you had nothing over Jesus.  Imagine a being so advanced that he was able to “divine” all of this.  And he shared it with us.  He was love.  He could only heal people who believed that he was divine love.  When we can see him clearly, without all the misinterpretations that have been presented as his message, then we can learn from his life.

I’m repeating myself here, but Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within.”  You are God.  You are a part of the divine.  You are the pure energy of love which is everywhere and infinite.  You were created in the “image of God.”   There is no time and space.  There is only the “always was and always will be.”  There is only the omnipresent and omniscient.  Sounds like God and is also the definition of energy.  As God cannot be destroyed neither can energy.  Neither can you.  As God is everywhere at all times, so is energy.  So are you.  As God makes up infinity, so does energy.  So do you.

images-10

It has already been shown that all matter is simply dense, organized energy, so surely you can at least be open to the idea that you are a part of the All.  Matter is energy.  You are matter, therefore…  When we all finally realize our divinity the world will no longer be a place of competition and fear of lack.  We will all realize our connectedness and that we are all a unique and integral part of pure love and peace.  We are as important as Jesus was in bringing the truth to light.

Through your consciousness, indistinguishable from the All, you bring that light into the world.  That’s how important you are.  We cannot do this individually.  We must all be brought into the truth.  The truth will, literally, set us free.  So, the next time you think about meditating to raise your consciousness, remember that you will be doing the world a service by opening to spirit.  The more people who open to spirit the more our Collective Consciousness will be raised and then more people will begin to really “know” the divine.

Jesus is a part of you.  His energy, also called, “Christ Consciousness” is what will lead you to the divine.  I’m not saying the only way to God is through belief that Jesus was his son.  I don’t think Jesus was saying that.  When he said that the only way to heaven “is through me,” I believe he was using “me” as his term for pure consciousness.  Also called the “I am”

“I am” is a good meditation mantra.  “I am” is a powerful tool of transformation. I am.  Jesus knew the I am.  He is the I am.  He taught the I am.  All that we are is what Jesus taught us.  He is not the only being who lived on earth that transcended the illusion.  There are those recorded in history like Jesus, the Buddha, and others, but many more who quietly transcended or had few followers.  Jesus and Buddha brought their light to many more and have changed many lives.  Most  humans have been so entrenched in the physical world that few have understood or listened.  He who has ears, listen was a refrain of Jesus.  In areas of the world where spirituality is given more importance than consuming and conquering there have been many more trancendants, places like India and parts of Asia.  There have been many “masters” from these areas because their culture embraces the idea of spiritual transcendence, but more importantly they embrace living a life focused on spiritual loving kindness.  People like Lao Tsu who wrote the I Ching.  Our culture is changing and there is a huge spiritual movement of unprecedented numbers.  Sixty years ago meditation wasn’t even in most people’s vocabulary, let alone a part of their lives and yet, now, it is a daily practice for many in the west.

images-5

We are a growing number.  People are dissatisfied with the physical reality.  There can be no true and lasting joy in the physical reality.  Only by knowing who we are can we ever truly be self-realized and eternally happy.  So, thank you, Jesus and all of you other masters, for that.  We’re working on it.

Some transcendental affirmations:

  • I am.
  • I am love.
  • I am peace.
  • I am divine.
  • I am prosperous.
  • I am generous.
  • I am perfect.

Imagine you get to interview Jesus or Buddha or any master for a morning news show.  Ask them some good questions.

People don’t change.

“It is difficult to say what truth is, but sometimes it is so easy to recognize a falsehood.” ~Albert Einstein

Haven’t you heard that expression, ” People don’t change?”  And , if you take a look at people you see that, for the most part, it’s true.  People don’t change.  They live their whole lives doing pretty much the same thing.  And, why is that?  Come on, you gotta know this by now, if you’ve read even a few of these posts.  Yes, that’s right, it’s because they maintain the same beliefs, keep thinking the same thoughts, and having the same feelings.

Our consciousness produces our lives.  But, even more so, our subconscious produces our lives.  Our subconscious is the cradle of our beliefs which are formed when we are quite young.  If we don’t explore those beliefs and question them, seriously question them, then we will not change our patterns.

Are you exactly where you want to be right now in your life or do you crave a more fulfilling life that corresponds with your beliefs, integrity, and dreams?   If you are exactly where you want to be then you are thinking and feeling along the lines of growth and happiness.  If you’re not there, then it’s time to do a life review.

Sounds like way too much work, doesn’t it.  It is work, dammit!  You have to start asking questions, the hard ones, like “Why am I in the same type of situation that I always seem to end up in?”  Whether it’s your love life, home life, or work life, if you keep finding yourself having the same issues and predicaments then it’s time to take a good hard look at your thoughts and patterns of response.

images-10

Do you want to change your profession, but every time you start to form plans for change the desperate voice of fear and failure lures you back into complacency?  It’s time to have faith!   You’ve done this before and too many times, at that!  Open yourself to the truth that the universe wants you to be happy and if you can see yourself happy and doing what you love then it will happen.  Allow the universe to flow through you.  Stop resisting with your negative feelings.  Open up to miracles.

Do you want to have a happy relationship but every time you meet someone they turn out to be less than what you want?  Start knowing how much you deserve to have a wonderful partner.  You won’t attract a healthy partner if you don’t believe you are worthy.  You are the most loved and adored being in the universe!   If you don’t believe it check out the link.  You are important to the consciousness and awakening of the whole world!  Until you believe this you will attract only those that would use you.  When you know your worth you will attract those who value you.  Then it is up to you to continue to believe in your excellence and not let fear creep in and tell you that it can’t be true, it won’t work out, you’re not good enough.  If you let this happen you will sabotage the relationship.  This happens when we first meet someone who is fabulous, then we freeze up with fear.  We either sabotage it or come up with excuses why it won’t work, such as we’re not in a good place, or we are too busy, or we start to nitpick at their personalities til we convince ourselves that they aren’t what we really want.

If your home life is less than ideal, look at how you are thinking about your family.  Are you expecting love and respect or are you expecting mistreatment and victimhood?   Are you giving love and respect or are you looking for the negative and always finding it?

Be grateful for all you have and more will come to you.  Be aware of your feelings.  This is the most important step in changing your life.  When you feel bad it is a sign of negative beliefs and thoughts.  Use your emotions as you would use a GPS system.  If you feel bad, change course.  As you think so you become.  Be a brilliant light for yourself and for those with whom you hold influence.  People do change.  We just need to know that change is needed.  We need to review and make those changes.  You are fabulous!  You can do anything.  Now, change!

Affirmations with love and respect:

  • I hold all beings in love and respect.
  • I give to others that which is most important to them.
  • I deserve to have a happy and fulfilling life.
  • I live the life I desire.
  • All good things come to me.
  • I have an embarrassment of riches.

Imagine you are on a wonderful vacation with the ones you love.  You are all glowing with the love you feel for each other.  Life is amazing and you made it this way.

Forget about pills. Get over here and give me a hug!

“Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” ~Albert Einstein

Unless it’s from your creepy, sweaty Uncle Buttkiss, hugs have no down side.  Hugs are warm, joyful, melting, expressions of love and happiness.  We have all known that for quite a while and science is finally catching up.  According to scientists at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, hugging for twenty seconds, along with hand holding for ten minutes with your partner, reduces stress levels.  Indicators such as blood pressure and heart rate were used against a control group that did not hug or hold hands.  You don’t have to hug with a partner; hugging a friend or even a massage has the same effect, it’s the magic of human touch.

images-8

We humans have a complex system of stress relief.  Just under our skin are teeny, tiny little discs called Pacinian corpuscles.   These little transmitters are linked to our vagus nervous system.  They initiate the response the body has to touch from another human.  We start to produce oxytocin which is the bonding hormone.  It makes us feel affection and an emotional connection.  It is the hormone that mothers produce during birth so that they forget all about the pain of labor and simply fall in love with their babies.  It has a calming effect on men, making them more affectionate and more likely to be monogamous.  Increased hugs would equate with increased faithfulness and fidelity!  Kissing and hand holding work the same way.

Hugs slow the release of cortisol which is the stress drug.  It’s the hormone that causes anxiety and even weight gain.  Hugging will keep you slim.  Hugging will keep you relaxed.  Hugging can replace antidepressants!   When we hug dopamine is released.  Dopamine levels play a huge part in depression and are also linked to Parkinson’s Disease.  Dopamine helps keep us motivated and feeling good and positive.  It’s the feel good drug!  I like Dopamine!

Touch makes all the difference in your life.  Babies who do not get the benefit of touch do not thrive.  The effects of neglect on the brain are the same as those of physical abuse.  It’s amazing how much we benefit from, and even need, physical expressions of love through hugs, cuddling, hand-holding, and kissing.  Couples who only kiss when they make love are more stressed than those who spontaneously kiss during the day.   It releases endorphins, another feel good hormone.  It helps to relax you and you can forget about your problems. A kiss is a mini-vacation!

Hugs give us a sence of self-worth and self-love.  This is especially true for children.  If our parents are very cuddly with us we do much better.  These physical demonstrations of love we receive as children imprint on us and are carried through our life.  Whenever we hug we have the feeling of love we received from being hugged and cuddled as a child and baby.  If your parents weren’t all huggy and cuddly you can still start being more affectionate now.

It’s hard to start hugging when you came from a family that didn’t hug or physically demonstrate love for each other.  But, you can do it.  Start with short hugs.  Talk with your siblings about the fact that you grew up with out many displays of affection, but that you’d like to change that.  They probably feel the same way.  Tell them you want to hug more.  Then hug!  Start a habit of hugging every time you see each other.  Talk about the twenty second hug rule with your friends and family!  They’ll love it, believe me!

Raise your children with hugs and cuddling and lots of physical expressions of love.  It helps them love themselves and deal with stress far better.  Hugs are practically the only prescription you need for a healthy life.  Okay, eat well and exercise, too, but hug, hug, hug!

Unknown-2

We get our sense of connectedness with others through physical affection.  Our energies connect as well as all the chemical reactions we enjoy from touch.  We are all one and hugging reminds us that we are part of this greater whole.   If you can do it without being creepy, touch people.  Connect with people.  In this day and age where people are afraid they will be held liable for a hug it is often tough.  Schools don’t allow children to hug each other.  Even five-year olds are punished for hugging their friends.  This is ridiculous!  Hug!!!  Encourage your children to show how they feel.  Encourage them to hug each other and to hug you and their extended family.  Start a legacy of hugs!

I’ll leave you with the greatest hug master of our era.   Please check out this short three-minute video because there’s another great thing about hugs, watching others hugs has many of the same benefits as if you were doing the hugging!   When we see acts of kindness and love our bodies release the same chemicals as if we were a giver or recipient of the love!  That’s how powerful love is!

Now, imagine a world where everyone got many good long warm hugs everyday.  No hugs, no peace.  Know hugs, know peace.  Okay, so it doesn’t make perfect sense, but you know what I mean!

Domo Arigato, Dr. Emoto.

“Imagination is everything.  It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”  ~Albert Einstein

Have you heard of Dr. Emoto?  He’s been all over social media and consciousness documentaries like What the *Bleep* do We Know?  If you haven’t heard of him yet, or still want to hear more, then this is your Dr. Emoto primer.  First of all, can I congratulate you on your name, Dr. Emoto.  Are emoticons named after you?   For a man who has determined that inanimate objects respond to emotion your name (in our ethnocentric western world) is just perfect.

First a little on the inimitable Doctor.  Masuru Emoto is a Japanese man who started out with a degree in International Relations then studied Natural Medicine in India.  I haven’t read his book, The Hidden Messages in Water, so I don’t know why he started his study of the effect that outside abstract influences have on water.  In his study he used high-speed photography to take pictures of water that was frozen after having been subjected to written words, typed words, music, intentional emotions, and concepts like peace and anger.  How can a word taped to the outside of a glass container of water make a difference in how the  water inside behaves?

In quantum mechanics it has been shown that objects, like electrons, will act differently when being observed.  The observer influences the actions of the observed.   That’s pretty amazing when you think about it.   Dr. Masuru Emoto has taken that observation to water.  First, he studied water from different sources and found strong differences in how they formed crystals when frozen.  Some water, from polluted sources were unable to form crystals.  Now this all makes perfect sense to me.  There were probably pollutants in the water that inhibited crystal formation.  It’s what he did next that didn’t make sense in the scientific way.

He took two samples from the same source of water and exposed them to music.  The water exposed to the beautiful music formed a lovely crystal.  The water exposed to heavy metal music did not.  It was unable to form the typical hexagonal crystal of water.  We’ve all heard of the experiments in which plants were subjected to various types of music and how they responded, so this, too, is not beyond our ken.

So, he continued to expand his research.  Next he tried using written words to influence the crystallization of the water.  this stretches the scope of our belief systems.  How can written words affect water.  He had containers of water from the same source and he attached different words to each container.   There were quite dramatic results.

You make me sick, I will kill you.

Love and encouragement.

Thank you.

He used prayer on water.

Dr Emoto tried many different way to influence water, from music, to written words, to thoughts and prayers and his results showed that there was a direct influence on the water.  It gives a whole new meaning to saying grace before meals.

And you know, the science community is calling it a lot of hooey.  And there are no experiments done by any others to corroborate, but I believe it.  Because I know that what we think and do affects everything in our lives.  So, call me crazy, but my Brita water pitcher has a peace sign and a heart and a smiley face on it.  I try to remember to realize that all my food is perfect for me.  I infuse love into my life and what goes into my body.

Is it real science, what Dr. Emoto does?  I don’t know.  I don’t care.  I just know about the transformational power of energy.  I know that the consciousness we focus on an object changes it.  I know that thoughts become things and that what we focus on is what our life becomes.  So, I’m going to focus on the positive and go from there.  I’m going to put some Mozart on for my water now.

Crystal Affirmations:

  • I know that my thoughts affect my life.
  • I use positive feelings and thoughts to improve my life and others.
  • I feel love, gratitude, and kindness towards myself and others.
  • I forgive myself and others.
  • I encourage myself on the path that brings me delight.
  • I see the best in people.

Before you eat or drink, infuse your food with love, gratitude, and perfection.  You are what you eat.

Challenge accepted.

“Our actions should be based on the ever-present awareness that human beings in their thinking, feeling, and acting are not free but are just as causally bound as the stars in their motion.” ~ Albert Einstein

When we accept less than perfect love into our souls then we are infecting ourselves with negative energy which we must then work to transform into positive.  We do not need to accept that which does not benefit us.  One of many stories attributed to the Buddha tells of any angry man who approached the Buddha and began to harass him, insult him, and provoke him.  The Buddha asked the man if he had any friends and family.  The man responded that he did.  The Buddha asked him if he ever gave any gifts to his friends.  The man said that he did.  The Buddha asked him what he would do if a friend refused the gift he gave.  The man replied that he would bring the gift home to his family and enjoy it with them.  The Buddha then said, “So it is with you today.  You have brought me a gift which I choose not to accept.”  This is how the Buddha lovingly taught the man that what is offered to us by others is not what we have to accept.

Lately I have been using a form of affirmation that I never used before.   I would like to share it with you as I have found it very powerful in my life.  Love is greater than fear.  We are always offered either love or fear by others and we always offer either love or fear to others.  Using these new affirmations is reminding me of what I want to accept into my soul and offer to others.

  • I accept only love, compassion, and peace into my heart.
  • I offer only love, compassion, and peace to others.
  • I accept only courage, inspiration, and action for myself.
  • I offer only encouragement, inspiration, and help to others.
  • I accept only happiness and joy for myself.
  • I offer only happiness and joy to others.
  • I accept only love and respect for myself.
  • I offer only love and respect to others.
  • I accept only abundance and wealth for myself.
  • I offer only abundance and wealth to others.
  • I accept only generosity of spirit.
  • I offer only generosity of spirit.
  • I accept only perfect health and vibrance in my physical body.
  • I offer only perfect health and vibrance to others.
  • I recognize only the divine in myself.
  • I recognize only the divine in others.

We are in this body at this time for only a short while, but we can have an impact on the growth of our spiritual consciousness.  We can raise each other up or tear each other down.  We can accept only that which benefits and give only that which empowers love.  When you look in the mirror in the morning repeat these affirmations while looking into your own eyes and know how valuable you are to the enlightenment of all beings.  Offer only what you would offer to your most beloved and accept only what you would want for your most beloved, for you are most beloved.

Imagine that you walk into a restaurant by yourself.  You walk over to a table of strangers and one of them stands up.  What does s/he say to you?  How do you respond?  Are any words exchanged?  What happens?
